I still smile when I think about the night I spent at Spoons Lanzarote. It was one of those evenings that starts out like any other holiday night but turns into something truly special. From the moment I walked in, the energy was incredible. The staff welcomed me with warm smiles and showed me to a table near the stage. The atmosphere was already buzzing with conversation and anticipation.
I started with a cold drink and ordered one of their evening specials. The food arrived quickly and it was excellent. I had fresh fish and chips and it was crispy, hot and perfectly cooked. As I was finishing my meal the lights dimmed slightly and the resident band Mad Goats began to play.
The first notes filled the room and everyone immediately turned toward the stage. The sound was rich and vibrant. It was impossible not to feel it in your chest. People clapped, some got up to dance, others sang along quietly. I have been to many bars with live music but this felt different. It felt authentic. The band was clearly talented but more than that they connected with the audience. Every song felt like it was played just for us.
The energy kept building through the night. By the second set almost the entire terrace was on their feet moving to the rhythm. I found myself talking to people at the next table and making new friends. There was no rush, no stress, just pure enjoyment. The staff moved gracefully between tables making sure everyone had drinks and felt comfortable.
When the band played their last song the room erupted in applause. People were shouting for one more and the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all. It was not just a night out, it was an experience that will stay with me. Walking back to my hotel I felt like I had discovered a hidden gem in Lanzarote. Spoons is not just another pub. It is the heart of live music in Puerto del Carmen and a place where memories are made.
I have already told my friends back home that if they ever visit Lanzarote they must go to Spoons at least once. The combination of good food, fantastic music and friendly people is rare and precious.
